Visions → Reality
Bring me the idea before it is fully figured out.
- A new brand.
- A campaign.
- A creative problem.
- A venture taking shape.
- Or something that does not have a name yet.
I can help find the idea, define the direction and turn it into something people can actually experience.

Selected
Work
Ideas made visible. A selection of identities, campaigns and brand worlds shaped through strategy, direction and design.
Exploring how positioning, typography, symbols and visual language come together to give a brand a recognisable point of view.
Ideas extended into physical objects, merchandise and visual culture.
1974 AD 30th Anniversary
For 1974 AD’s 30th anniversary, I drew from classic rock merchandise to create something that felt connected to the music culture that influenced an earlier generation. Bold compositions, screen-print textures and limited colour give the work the character of a shirt worth keeping.

Back Benchers Entertainment Merch
I brought Backbenchers’ event history into one celebratory artwork. Water represents flow, prayer flags suggest collective effort, and the mountains and Dallas skyline connect Nepal with Dallas, while the dancing Lakhey anchors the piece in Nepali festivity and culture.

Bleeding Eye
Bleeding Eye explores cultural erosion. The eye represents familiar symbols and memories, while the bleeding suggests something once stable beginning to disappear. The piece is less about nostalgia and more about noticing what is fading while it can still be remembered.

How We Disappear
How We Disappear uses a cassette, tangled tape and binary numbers to explore the shift from physical culture to digital convenience. It reflects on what technology makes easier, while questioning the tactile and imperfect qualities that quietly disappear along the way.

KK Street Alternative
I approached this Kritya Kala piece as a visual extension of the brand, bringing its identity together with references to Kathmandu. The goal was something recognizable, wearable and rooted in its cultural environment without forcing a deeper concept than necessary.
Merchandise Design / 2022
KK Flame
KK Flame uses fire as a symbol of life, energy and continuation rather than destruction. The artwork turns that inner spark, whether creativity, culture or ambition, into a direct and immediate visual form.
Merchandise Design / 2022
Jasmine
Jasmine began with a simple contrast: a delicate flower against aggressive red splatter. The tension between softness and chaos became the character of the piece, creating something instinctive, memorable and visually immediate.

K-Garira
The K-Garira merchandise brings the energy of a live band together with visual references to Kathmandu and Dallas. I wanted the artwork to feel like a cultural crossover, capturing Nepali music travelling and finding a new stage in another city.

Snake
Snake is built around the tension between beauty and danger. Flowers soften the image while the snake introduces threat, creating something attractive at first glance but more unsettling the longer you look.
Merchandise Design / 2026
Spill KK
Spill Ink came from experimenting with the irregular movement of spilled ink. Rather than forcing a deeper meaning, I let the accidental shapes lead the composition, resulting in something spontaneous, expressive and slightly raw.

Swar Live in Dallas
For Swar Live in Dallas, I imagined the band travelling across a Dallas bridge in a Nepali tempo with their instruments tied above. The playful scene brings Nepal and Dallas into one frame, turning the concert artwork into a small visual story.

Synq
Synq explores two people drawn toward one another without ever aligning completely. The small gap between the two forms represents differences in timing, feeling and perspective, allowing connection and separation to exist within the same image.

[ 02 ] Practice
Where strategy becomes
creative direction.
Creative Strategy
Finding the idea worth building around.
Brand Strategy + Positioning
Defining what a brand means, who it matters to and where it should stand.
Creative Direction
Building coherence across imagery, words, campaigns and experiences.
[ 03 ] Approach
Understand → Define → Direct → Build
I don't begin by asking what something should look like.
I begin by asking what it needs to mean.
- 01
Understand
What are we actually solving?
Audience, ambition, context, culture and constraints come first.
- 02
Define
What is the idea?
Strip away the noise until there is a clear position capable of guiding decisions.
- 03
Direct
How should that idea show up?
Define the language, imagery, behaviour, tone and creative principles that make it recognisable.
- 04
Build
How does it live?
Turn the direction into an identity, campaign or system capable of staying coherent wherever people encounter it.

Nischal
KB Ghale
Nish, most of the time.
I'm an independent creative strategist and designer based in Kathmandu, working at the intersection of business thinking and visual culture.
My work moves between strategy, creative direction and design across brands, music, culture, hospitality, technology and new ventures.
I also co-founded Pun Intended and MindSnack, experiences that pushed my practice beyond aesthetics and deeper into business, positioning, audiences and growth.
My background in Information Management shaped the way I think about creative work: systems, business and design are different parts of the same problem. Experience across creative studios, entrepreneurship, live entertainment, culture, hospitality, technology and independent brand work.
That perspective shapes how I work today:
- Understand the problem.
- Find the idea.
- Give it direction.
- Make it real.
